Shipping Information

We do not personally deliver yarn to your home or business. We leave that up to UPS and the USPS.

Shipping estimates are provided by the carriers — UPS and USPS, not by DBNY. We do not set their rates. We try to be as accurate as possible in shipping costs and estimated time of delivery. Most packages are shipped by DBNY in 3 to 7 business days. Business days are Monday through Friday excluding holidays. Please be sure to add that to the estimated shipping time when calculating when you will receive your order.

We will do our best to accommodate your choice of shipping. However in the case that the chosen shipping type does not meet the requirements of the package and or address, we reserve the right to ship it as required and bill you accordingly. An example of this would be a package addressed to a P.O. Box and asking for UPS shipping. As this is not possible it will be switched to ship through the USPS.

UPS is tracked and insured with your shipping payment.

Updated: USPS Media Mail Shipping

We are now offering USPS Media Mail shipping for media (books) only. Do not choose Media Mail if your order contains anything (yarn, needles, accessories, current magazines) other than printed, educational, non-advertising media. We will be forced to cancel your order and you will be charged a 20% restocking fee.

Media Mail is for media only: books and booklets – printed, copyrighted, non-advertising materials. Trying to send yarn, needles, magazines or even a greeting card in a package by Media Mail is considered mail fraud, which is a federal offense.

All Media Mail packages are subject to search by any postal employee as well as federal officials. It is a less expensive way of shipping but generally takes longer and there is a good chance your package will be cut open and inspected. DBNY is not responsible for damage caused by the inspection process.

Returns/Refunds

Due to the discontinued nature of most of our products all sales are final, we do not offer refunds. All computer monitors vary, we try to represent the colors of our products as accurately as possible, but they may look different on various computers.

We weigh each package before it is shipped to ensure accuracy and to get the right shipping rate. If your package arrives damaged or is lost in transit, we will do all we can to help you file a claim with the shipper.

All products are of a discontinued or one of a kind nature in limited quantities, items cannot be returned or exchanged. All sales are final. We sell seconds, discontinued items, test runs/dye lots, overstock, and store closeout items. Some of the products we sell may be mis-labeled or do not have a label. We make every effort to supply and correct the descriptions of the products we sell, but as we are not manufacturers, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of any information supplied. Some specials and items are only available to registered customers. Registration is fast and easy. If you check out without registering or use PayPal Express in place of our checkout we may not be able to assist you in your order history or tracking.

  • We may be forced to end or modify promotions at any time.
  • We cannot edit, add to, or remove items from your order.
  • Once you hit submit to make a purchase, your order is placed and cannot be changed.

Orders cannot be changed once submitted. All cancelled orders are subject to a restocking fee.

Our Returns Guidelines are as follows:

  • If we have made an error on your order, items in original condition may be returned for a store credit within 14 days of purchase.
  • We do not make exchanges. Returns and new purchases are treated as two separate transactions. When we receive your return, we will post a credit to your customer account for the value of your returned goods, and then notify you via email as soon as the credit has been posted, so that you can apply it to a future order. Credit cannot be applied retroactively to an order already in progress.
