SWTC has become very "green" and works with extremely renewable resources to create new and intriguing yarns for us to try. This one is smooth and delightful to work with and can be used instead of cotton or any sport weight yarn. It is a thin tube-ish ribbon-ish yarn, with 130 meters (about 143 yards) per ball and a recommended gauge of 6 stitches / 8 rows to the inch on size 7 (US) needles.

If you don't like working with cotton, you may really enjoy this plant fiber. This is machine washable and machine dry-able -- just do not iron it. Which makes it a marvelous option for baby's and children's items.
