USPS Shipping & Tracking - we provide USPS tracking info as a courtesy to our customers. The information supplied by the USPS is beyond our control. Please direct your questions, comments and suggestions about USPS shipping and tracking to the US Post Office. You can reach USPS Customer Service at 1-800-275-8777, or through their Website. We get many calls and emails about the wrong status being posted by the US Post Office. Please contact them about this issue.

Fair Shipping Discount

We offer Fair Shipping-all customers can save $7 on your order for $100 or more by using the Discount Code FAIRSHIPPING. You must use our checkout, not PayPal Express, you must enter the discount code and have $100 or more in your cart. Now you get to choose your shipping method and save.

Please note that some items (some sale items) may not apply towards the $100 minimum for the Fair Shipping discount.

You can still pay with PayPal using our checkout. PayPal Express may cause problems with your DBNY account. If the discount code does not work for you on our checkout, let us know and we will give you store credit.

Otherwise, shipping is based on the product's weight and the shipping address. We ship from Vermont, USA.

Please note, you can only use one Discount Code per order (like just about everywhere) so if we're running multiple sales be sure to choose the best one.

Shipping Information

Most orders are shipped within 3 - 7 business days after payment is cleared. Please be sure to add that to the estimated shipping time when calculating when you will receive your order. Sometime USPS Parcel Post comes up as the cheapest shipping method. We have seen this method take up to 3 weeks in transit. If you are anxious to receive your order, you probably want to choose a different method.

We will do our best to accommodate your choice of shipping. However in the case that the chosen shipping type does not meet the requirements of the package and or address, we reserve the right to ship it as required and bill you accordingly. An example of this would be a package addressed to a P.O. Box and asking for UPS shipping. As this is not possible it will be switched to ship through the USPS.

UPS is tracked and insured with your shipping payment. If you ship using the USPS you must add insurance yourself (There is an option at checkout). DBNY is not responsible for packages that have not been insured. Insuring packages is the responsibility of the customer.

USPS Insurance is required on orders totaling $500 or more in merchandise. We have had too many packages destroyed or opened and contents lost when shipping them through USPS.

International Orders

All international orders are subject to the following terms:

1. First Class Mail: This option is not insurable please be aware. DBNY does not accept responsibility for uninsured packages.
2. Priority Mail: This option is insurable and packages seem to reach their destination quicker.
3. All international customers are responsible for insuring their packages.

Updated: USPS Media Mail Shipping

We are now offering USPS Media Mail shipping for media (books) only. Do not choose Media Mail if your order contains anything (yarn, needles, accessories, magazines) other than printed, educational, non-advertising media. We will be forced to cancel your order and you will be charged a restocking fee.

Want To Commit A Federal Crime?

Media Mail is for media only: books and booklets - printed, copyrighted, non-advertising materials. Trying to send yarn, needles, magazines or even a greeting card in a package by Media Mail is considered mail fraud, a federal offense. Don't even think about it.

All Media Mail packages are subject to search by any postal employee as well as federal officials. It is a less expensive way of shipping but generally takes longer and there is a good chance your package will be cut open and inspected. DBNY is not responsible for damage caused by the inspection process.

Returns/Refunds

Due to the discontinued nature of most of our products all sales are final, we do not offer refunds. All computer monitors vary, we try to represent the colors of our products as accurately as possible, but they may look different on various computers.

We weigh each package before it is shipped to ensure accuracy and to get the right shipping rate. If your package arrives damaged or is lost in transit, we will do all we can to help you file a claim with the shipper. We do recommend taking advantage of the optional Shipping Insurance offered on the checkout page.

All products are of a discontinued or one of a kind nature in limited quantities, items cannot be returned or exchanged. All sales are final. Some specials and items are only available to registered customers. Registration is fast and easy. If you check out without registering or use PayPal Express in place of our checkout we may not be able to assist you in your order history or tracking.
